Child Burner Gets Five Years - Most Say It's Deserved

A former prison guard accused of severely burning his girlfriends young son in scalding bathwater was ordered by a jury Friday to spend five years in prison.

 

Benson faced 20 years in prison for the reckless injury to a child.  His attorneys had asked for probation but it was denied.  After quickly being taken into custody after the verdict was announced his attorneys requested an appeals bond be issued.

 

The judge agreed and Mr. Benson is back on the streets again.

Benson se enfrentó a 20 años de prisión por la lesión imprudente a un niño. Sus abogados pidieron libertad condicional pero le fue denegado. Después rápidamente se toman en custodia después de que el veredicto fue anunciado sus abogados pidió emitir un bono de apelación.

 

El juez aceptó y el Sr. Benson es volver a las calles nuevamente.
