8 Liner Operation Raided On N.W. Side

Authorities busted an eight liner gambling operation late Wednesday at a far Northwest Side home.  Police got an anonymous tip shortly before 9pm about the enterprise running out of a residence in 9400 block of Charter Point near loop 1604.

When the occupant opened the door, responding officers caught a glimpse of dozens of video slot machines bordering the walls of the home.  The occupant surrendered without incident.

Vice unit detectives were called to the scene and they searched the property and interviewed customers investigators said they confiscated 30 Vegas style machines out of the house, which had no furniture and had been converted into what looked like a mini casino.

Detectives are seeking charges against the resident for possession and operation of the illegal devices.  Running a gambling operation is very serious and this individual is looking at high bail and many years behind bars if he doesn’t hire a  criminal lawyer in San Antonio  with experience in these types of crimes.

Los detectives están buscando cargos contra el residente por posesión y operación de los dispositivos ilegales.
